SphereOI has an immediate opening for a Senior Linux Cloud Administrator with our Intelligence Community (IC) Technology Group.  the IC Technology Group has very tight-knit, well managed teams that work closely with government customers to develop solutions that carry out national security missions.  In this position, you will manage PaaS platforms based on container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.  The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Linux/Unix system administration and a full range of experience with AWS cloud services.

 What You Will Be Doing:

  • Plan, install, configure, operate, and maintain PaaS platforms
  • Provision and configure Linux/Unix virtual machines
  • Deploy containerized microservice based apps using OpenShift or Kubernetes
  • Design and implement end-to-end software deployment pipelines
  • Provide troubleshooting and analytic thinking to resolve problems

 What You Need for this Position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical experience
  • Minimum of five years of hands-on experience in Linux or Unix system administration
  • Experience automating tasks in Bash, Perl, Python, or another scripting language
  • Knowledge of AWS platform features and capabilities
  • Hands-on experience developing software using Java, C#, C++, or Visual Basic is a plus
  • Experience with database technology such as Oracle and SQL Server is a plus
